He then shows how the reverse is also possible, retrieving a camera connected to compact NVR for recording on the primary NVR.
Simple fix for Ethernet cable (Cat5e/Cat6) with broken pair(s)
Jeff shows a workaround for broken wires inside a Cat5e/Cat6 Ethernet cable by switching pins 1,2,3 and 6 to unused pairs. This is useful if you have a damaged Ethernet cable that cannot be replaced with broken internal pairs on these pins. Works with IP cameras, including those powered via standard PoE. Will not work with Gigabit Ethernet - these devices will drop to 100Mbps - or Extended PoE (ePoE). Some PoE network switches might not be compatible with this method as they use these spare wires for PoE, see https://bit.ly/2YJvZvv for more information.
Setting up a wireless PtP bridge using Ubiquiti airOS 8.0 devices
Jeff shows how to configure a pair of Ubiquiti LiteBeam AC AP devices as a point-to-point wireless bridge. Bridged devices perform as if they were an Ethernet cable and can be used to connect any device that uses Ethernet (e.g. IP cameras, PC's, Intercoms, etc.) wirelessly. While this video focuses on the LiteBeam AC AP, the steps performed will apply to any Ubiquiti device running airOS 8.0.X and broadly apply to any wireless equipment.
